I spent 10 years in the Hospitality and Leisure industry at all levels of management gaining experience in all aspects of business. In that time I worked with established sites, new builds, failing sites and successful sites. As an avid student of people and business I studied the differences between each, the business, the people, the environment and how each impacted upon the outcome.

Very early on in my career I became responsible for developing and implementing new processes and systems in order to improve the business. This is when my passion for developing people's understanding and skills took hold and I began to look at how the business could become more successful by developing and empowering the people within it not just the processes and systems they used.

After several years of applying this thinking to troubled businesses and seeing them successfully turn around and develop into all they could be, I made the life changing decision that this was where my future lay.

I established HPL Consultancy in 1997 and since have worked with many different businesses in many sectors and of many sizes. The projects I have undertaken have been varied but I have always applied the same beliefs and values to my work - and have always had the desired results.
